PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Kingston Frontenacs Ontario Hockey League season got off to a flying start on Thursday. Samuel Schutt and Darcy Greenaway both had hat tricks as Kingston drubbed the Peterborough Petes 11-4 in the season opener for both teams. Schutt had a power-play goal for the Frontenacs (1-0-0), as did Lawson Crouse, Warren Steele and Sam Bennett. Conor McGlynn and Spencer Watson chipped in as well, while Matt Mahalak made 31 saves for the win. Eric Cornel had a short-handed goal for Peterborough (0-1-0), while Nick Ritchie, Jonatan Tanus and Stephen Pierog scored as well. Goaltender Andrew DAgostini got the start for the Petes, stopping 21-of-27 shots in 33:52 of work. He was replaced in net by Michael Giugovaz, who turned aside 14-of-19 shots.
