The 28-year-old Valencia says on the clubs website "I am so happy to have signed a new deal" and that he is "looking forward to working with (new manager) Louis van Gaal." Valencia is currently with the Ecuador national side in Brazil for the World Cup. He started in its 2-1 win against Honduras on Friday. Uniteds new assistant manager Ryan Giggs says he is "really pleased Antonio has signed a new contract" and that "his contribution to the team since he joined the club in 2009 has been fantastic."
