New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams have been named the Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the week ending on Nov. 9. Curry averaged 30.0 points in three games last week, matching Kobe Bryant for the league lead. He also led the NBA in steals with 3.33 per game and ranked fifth in the West with 7.3 assists. Curry hit 14 of his 27 attempts from 3-point range over those three games, including a 6-for-9 effort in a win over the Rockets. Though Golden State lost its first game of the season against Phoenix on Sunday, Curry collected 28 points, 10 assists and five steals. Williams led the Nets to a 3-1 week to earn Player of the Week honors for the fourth time in his career and first with Brooklyn. He averaged 20.8 points and 7.0 assists on 56.9 percent shooting. Williams notched at least 17 points and six assists while shooting better than 50 percent from the floor in all four games last week. He did that just 11 times all last season.
